Philosophy
Our vision is to give people a home in a foreign place. At somewhere nice we wish to provide a home base in a unique environment, encourage exploration of a new culture, and provide a link between the traveler and the local community. We ensure fair conditions for our employees while supporting, sustaining, and cherishing local business. somewhere nice provides you with a peaceful, dynamic and lively atmosphere; a place to relax, make new friends and a place to call home, if only for a few days!
Sustainability
Signs are made from old doors, and mirrors from former windows. The use of old materials and local products supports the Ghanaian suppliers, generates new ideas, and helps increase the appreciation of pre-existing and pre- owned goods.
Authentically local
A working cooperation with local suppliers, providers, and our employees is very important to us. Local craftsmanship and products are used whenever and wherever possible. We like to exchange ideas and integrate the Ghanaian culture into somewhere nice!
Engaging Service
At somewhere nice we know that each and every guest is on their own individual journey. That’s why we supply personalized support that our guests want and need. We strive to provide you with a homey feeling while traveling, a feeling you can only find somewhere nice!
Where we come from
The roots of somewhere nice go back to Europe. In 1999, enterprising and imaginative Mathias Schwender, a student of theology who has a weakness for antique furniture and old buildings, founded Bohemian Hostels (BoHo).
Owning 10 beds and having the vision of bringing together travelers from all around the world under one roof, he opened up Sir Toby´s in Prague. Today, Bohemian Hostels has evolved into a dynamic enterprise providing accommodation for groups and single travelers with four hostels in Prague.
These concepts and values have now extended from Prague and Europe to Accra, Ghana by establishing the hostel somewhere nice.
